NYAPT Transportation Aid Workshop

NYAPT has  re-scheduled the TRANSPORTATION AID WORKSHOP (originally scheduled for February 19th in Albany) as two regional workshops.

Workshop ONE will be held on Friday APRIL 24th at the CANANDAIGUA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT Transportation Facility beginning at 8:00 AM and ending by 12:00 PM with continental breakfast served.

Workshop TWO will be held in the DOWNSTATE area in mid-May.  More information will be available soon.

School Business Official, Ronald Finch, will present the course which is based on a course he has also offered for other state and regional associations.  Finch served for over 32 years as a business official in several school districts and is currently engaged in training offerings and doing financial consultations and audits for school districts.

REGISTRATION: This includes attendance for your school business official if he/she is interested in attending (business official only)

The course will cover the following, among other topics:

-    Explanation of Trans Aid and when it is received;
-    Eligible expenditures for Trans Aid;
-    Reporting eligible expenditures to the State;
-    Trans Aid ratio and the “net” trans aid ratio;
-    Non-allowable pupil decimal, summer 4408 miles, other purpose miles;
-    Impact of leasing buses and selling of buses;
-    Data source for Trans aid estimates.
