In collaboration with our Stop Arm camera sponsor, Sen. Catherine Young:

TOPICS AND AGENDA FOR THE DAY:
We will be advocating primarily for the Stop Arm Camera bills (S5028--Young/A7350-Magnarelli) but will have information about other key NYAPT legislation available to discuss with visiting legislators---including criminal trespass, alcohol testing, and mandate relief.

To the extent possible, we will arrange for a limited number of meetings with key Senators and Assembly Members, particularly with those who are members of the Education and Transportation Committees in each house. Our members are encouraged to let their Legislators know that they will be in the LOB that day and to invite them to come down to the area to meet you and see some of our camera providers.
 
BOOT CAMP:
On the evening of May 12th -- before the Advocacy Day -- we will hold a brief boot-camp at 6:30 PM to outline what will be happening the next day so that we are all prepared and ready to go.  Chips and beverages will be available during the boot-camp.

OVERNIGHT ROOMS:
We have arranged with the Marriott to set aside a block of rooms for our use for our 'lobby-ers' who come for the overnight on the 12th. The overnight rate is $119.00 and you need to make your reservation before April 29th.  We only have a limited number of rooms on hold so make your reservations soon!   For reservations call either:   (800) 228-9290 or (518) 458-8444.

The state's budget is passed....our school bus safety bills are out there needing passage!  It's time to go get it done! Your help is needed! Please take time from your schedule to be directly involved in this important day in our annual advocacy calendar!
