With the cancellation of the NYAPT summer conference, NYAPT will conduct the Annual Meeting of the Association as required in the NYAPT by-laws.
The Annual Meeting will take place on Monday, July 13, 2020, beginning at 1:00 PM. This will be a virtual meeting held via Zoom and all NYAPT members are invited to attend.
The following matters of business will be covered at the Annual Meeting as required in the by-laws:
- Election of Officers to the Executive Committee
- Annual Report
- Report of Financial Status of the Association
- Presentation of plans and strategies for the upcoming year
Regarding the election of officers to the executive committee, to date we have one announced candidate for each executive board seat that is required to be filled for the next term of office. Those candidates are as follows:
- Ted Nugent – President Elect
- Liz Gilleo – Vice President
- Diane Miano – Secretary
- James Popkin – Treasurer
Nominations from the floor will be accepted during the virtual annual meeting. If there are no nominations from the floor, the slate will be elected as presented, officers will be sworn in and the meeting will be adjourned. If there are nominations from the floor and an election for an office is necessary, the meeting will be suspended on July 13th to allow time for an electronic voting process. The election will take place on July 14th, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The Annual Meeting will be reconvened at 2:00 PM to announce the results of the vote and to swear in officers.
Absentee ballots have been sent out to all members who requested an absentee ballot and who qualify to vote.
